Americas Got Talent Las Vegas Live Review

In November 2022, I went to see Americas Got Talent Las Vegas Live in the Luxor Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. If you’ve seen the Americas Got Talent TV show and enjoyed it, then going to the live performance show featuring winners from the various seasons of Americas Got Talent is a must when you’re visiting the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas.

Tickets seem to range from around $50 USD to around $120 USD depending on seating placement, but there are deals around and you might be able to get better prices with a bit of research. I paid around $50 USD for my personal seat including ticketing fees, which was about 15 rows or more from the front with a slightly side on view. The view wasn’t terrible and I could see most of the action, but like any show the large video screens used to show close ups of the performers were handy.

The show started around 6pm, making it family friendly. The overall experience was great. There’s an entrance hall you walk through to get into the show, and there are various things to look at and partake in before you enter the actual theatre and take your seat. There are photo opportunities with professional photographers which use green screens to put your live photo into a variety of backgrounds – these are chargeable of course, but might make a good souvenir. There’s a photo wall where you can take your own selfies, and there’s a bar where you can buy drinks to take into the theatre. Just make sure you don’t drink too much and get drunk like the idiots seated behind me in the theatre on the night!

The show performer lineup changes, but mine had Kodi Lee (the highlight for me), Duo Transcend, a quick change artist, a knife thrower, and a comedian / MC who basically covers the gaps during which the stage is being setup for the various acts. I found the jokes a bit lame and the show a bit slow paced to be honest, but the actual performers from the AGT show were all very professional and worth seeing.

Would I go and see Americas Got Talent Las Vegas Live again? Possibly. If the lineup has changed for my next trip, and if I can get reasonably inexpensive tickets through a promotion or deal, then I would almost certainly return. If ticket prices increase, and / or the performers don’t change, then I’d pass on it. In Las Vegas there are hundreds of great shows and things to do – and I don’t want to waste time or money revisiting things that I’ve already done. Visiting the show does give you an indication of what it might have been like to have visited a TV taping of an AGT audition – it’s enjoyable from that point of view.

I had a meal at the Luxor Public House (open from 5pm, an hour before the show), which was a nice and relaxing pre-show activity. Look out for coupons on My Vegas that can help keep meal costs down here – I got a 2 for 1 coupon which saved about $20 for myself and my guest. Enjoy the photos of the show!
