The object of Roulette (assuming you like to win, as I do) is to select the winning number which will show up on the Roulette wheel. You select the colour or whether it’s odd or even, or you can also wager on lots of different combinations of numbers. It’s as easy as it looks. There are two distinct roulette wheel types. The European roulette wheel has 36 numbers plus a single zero (0) making 37 numbers. The American roulette wheel has 38 numbers since they added a double zero (00) to the wheel. Whenever you can, play the European roulette wheel. On the American roulette wheel, the inclusion of the additional double zero increases the house edge to 5.26 percent (from 2.63% on the European wheel).

The game of Roulette dates back to 1842. Roulette layouts have two gambling areas. The inside gambling region includes all of the individual numbers on the wheel. The outside gambling region has distinct groups of numbers (dozens, 1-12, 13-24, 25-36), red/black and odd/even, and boxes for the columns.

The numbers on the interior are arranged in 12 rows of three amounts forming three vertical columns. 00 and the 0 are on top of the columns, and they are always green, not red or black.

Purchasing Roulette Chips
When you take a seat to play you need to buy roulette chips specific to that table. To prevent disputes each player receives a unique colour. These chips are only valid on the table you purchase them on, and you simply cash them in for real cash chips when you get done playing. You can cash your real cash chips in at the casino cage, but they won’t accept roulette table chips.

Each roulette table has a minimum and maximum wager. You can not join your inside and outside wagers to match with the table minimum. Each bet type and area has it’s own wagering requirements. In the event the minimum wager is five dollars you must wager $5 on an any number or combination. You cannot, for example, put $2 on a number inside, and $3 on a column bet. Each bet would need to be $5 each.

Interior Bets On The Roulette Layout
There are several bets that you can make on the roulette table. You can choose a straight up bet (a bet on one number) or you can straddle the line between numbers to get a reduced payout (but make your betting dollars go further).

Line or road wagers pay 11 to 1. These bets cover 3 numbers at once. Quad bet or corner wagers pay 8 to 1. You make this bet by putting a chip so that it’s touching the four corners of the amounts you’re wagering. A basic wager is a five number bet on zero, double zero, 1, 2, and 3. It pays a bit short to the odds – best avoided. A Double Street bet pays 5 to 1 and is a wager on six numbers. You put your chip on the line but straddle the chip so that it covers 2 rows of 3 numbers each.

External Bets On The Roulette Layout
The outside bets are any of the wagers in the boxes of the outside of the main number area of the layout. These roulette bet types include even money bets like Red / Black, Even and Odd (but note they’re not truly even money due to the zero and double zero numbers lingering on the wheel). You can also make other bets here like Dozens. This is a wager on 12 consecutive numbers. You put your wager in the boxes indicated 1-12, 13-24 or 25-36. At the bottom of the layout, you can bet on columns. Column wagers are also 12 number. Instead of 12 consecutive numbers they consist of the amounts in one of the three columns that are vertical. Dozens and Columns bets pay 2 to 1.

Watch The Roulette Dealer
Dealers must keep the wheel going at all times between spins. The ball spins in the reverse in the opposite direction of the wheel. This causes the ball to leap and whirl on an amount before touchdown.

The dealer indicates the winning number by placing a crystal mark on layout. You’re prohibited to put your wager for the next wheel until the crystal mark is removed by the dealer from the last winning number. Be sure to wait for them to pick up it before putting your chips down, or you’ll be told off.

Roulette has a house edge that is high but you’ll just get about 30 spins an hour which slows down the time your cash is subjected to the house advantage should you play at a complete (full of players, about 8 or so) roulette table. It will likewise raise your comp time. This can be a strategic play if you’re a casino visitor who’s really just trying to get lots of comps!

Do not stress if the number you would like to wager on is covered with the roulette chips of other players. It’s permissible to pile your chips in addition to those of other players, by placing your chips on top of theirs. This is just another reason why each player has their particular colour of chips.

You’re allowed to place bets following the ball spins. The dealer will let you know when to quit placing your bets, and when it’s fine to make the roulette bets. The reality is there’s no system that may alter the house advantage. Do not waste your money purchasing a Roulette system. Roulette is all about luck!
