Silverton Casino Las Vegas – Great Value

I spent four nights staying at Silverton Casino, all comped, and overall it turned out to be one of the more enjoyable off-Strip casino stays of this trip. Silverton sits a bit away from the chaos of the Strip, and that distance really works in its favour. The pace is calmer, the crowd feels more local and relaxed, and the whole property has a comfortable, unforced feel to it.

During my stay I entered the Wheel of Fortune slot tournament, which had around 250 entrants. I didn’t crack the top 100, so there was no prize for me this time, but the tournament itself was well run and fun to take part in. These kinds of events add a bit of structure to slot play and are always worth a look if you’re staying on property anyway.

I played slots most days for four hours or more, and my overall financial result was fairly balanced — no big wins, but no blowouts either. The slot floor felt fair, well spaced, and never overwhelming. It was easy to find machines I was comfortable playing without feeling pressured or rushed.

One of the real highlights at Silverton is the aquarium, especially when viewed from the Mermaid Lounge. Watching the live mermaids swim while sitting at the bar is genuinely something you don’t get anywhere else in Las Vegas. I used the free wine tasting token given at check-in, which felt like a nice, old-school casino touch — small perks like that go a long way in making guests feel valued.

I also spent time at the main restaurant, and the food quality really stood out. The meals were very good and felt like strong value for money, especially compared to Strip pricing. This is a property where you can eat well without feeling like you’re being gouged just because you’re in Las Vegas.

From a table games perspective, Silverton impressed me. The blackjack rules are solid, with full-pay games available. I played both double deck and six-deck blackjack, and the conditions were very reasonable by modern Vegas standards. These kinds of rules are becoming harder to find, particularly on the Strip, so it’s a definite positive.

Service throughout the stay was excellent. Staff were friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful, and the host support was particularly good. Everything from check-in to day-to-day interactions felt smooth and professional.

Overall, Silverton delivered a really enjoyable, well-rounded casino stay. Good gambling conditions, fair comps, solid food, unique entertainment, and attentive service all combined to make it a place I’d happily return to. For players who don’t need the Strip outside their window and prefer value and comfort over spectacle, Silverton is well worth considering.
