Views From the Ruby Tower of Virgin Las Vegas

One of the quiet highlights of my stay at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas was the view from my room. I was on the 10th floor of the Ruby Tower, staying in a Corner King Suite, and the layout alone made it feel like a bit of a reward before you even look outside. With wall-to-wall windows wrapping around the corner, the room gave me two very different views of Las Vegas at the same time.

On one side, I could look out toward the Strip and watch the city stretch out in both directions. Lights coming on at dusk, traffic threading its way along the main drag, hotels glowing as the evening settled in. From that height, it wasn’t noisy or overwhelming — it was more like watching a moving postcard. Familiar landmarks in the distance, the sense of scale Vegas has when you step back from it a little.

On the other side, the view opened out toward Harry Reid International Airport and the surrounding area. Planes lining up, taking off, landing, and taxiing in steady rhythm. It’s a very different energy to the Strip — more practical, more transitional — and strangely relaxing to watch. There’s something grounding about seeing people coming and going while you’re temporarily staying put.

The corner layout really made the room. It felt open, bright, and easy to spend time in, even during the day. This wasn’t a room you only returned to sleep in — it was somewhere you could actually sit, look out the windows, and unwind. What made it even better was knowing the hotel stay portion was fully comped, thanks to my slot and table play during the trip. That always adds an extra layer of appreciation. When a casino recognises your play with something tangible like this, it softens the overall numbers and makes the experience feel more balanced.

Virgin does this well. The room felt modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without trying too hard. And the views — especially from a corner suite — were a genuine bonus rather than a gimmick. Sitting up there, watching the Strip glow on one side and aircraft move in quiet patterns on the other, it felt like a reminder of what Las Vegas really is: part spectacle, part transit hub, part temporary home for people passing through.

I’m genuinely grateful to Virgin Casino for the comped stay. It turned what could have been just another hotel room into something memorable — and it gave me a place to pause, reflect, and enjoy the city from a little distance before heading back out into it. Sometimes, the best part of Vegas isn’t on the casino floor at all.
