Casino Books worth reading

I’ve read a lot of interesting and often entertaining casino books in my time, on a variety of casino related topics. Some have been a bit hit-and-miss, whereas others have really influenced the way I play, or look at promotions, or get comps etc. I’m happy to recommend the following books as ones that I’ve found personally useful.

By Jean Scott, Queen of Comps – Great advice on how to run your gambling and gambling holidays “on a shoestring”. She’s a master of something for nothing! Jean’s own website is at www.queenofcomps.com.

The Frugal Gambler – A great guide to being a frugal gambler. Learn about coupons, money management, players clubs and more. Essential reading for any new / experienced gambler who visits casinos frequently or takes casino vacations / holidays.

More Frugal Gambling – An updated guide, following on from The Frugal Gambler. Further information on Video Poker and players clubs etc. Again, a very worthwhile read.

By Bob Dancer, Video Poker Guru extraordinaire. The master of all things Video Poker. Bob’s own website is at www.bobdancer.com.

Million Dollar Video Poker – The story of Bob Dancer’s history with Video Poker, and how he’s gone on to make over a million dollars on the Video Poker machines of the world. If you enjoy Video Poker, you’ll love this book by Bob. Internationally known and respected, Bob really knows his stuff!

By Frank Scoblete – Blackjack and Craps expert! Internationally known and inventor of the “Golden Touch Dice Control” for craps players. One of Frank’s websites is www.goldentouchcraps.com.

Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution – Learn about controlled dice throwing from the experts. The only way to beat craps is to control the dice – and you can learn how to do that.

Golden Touch Blackjack Revolution – A radical, new, and easy advantage play method for blackjack. Learn Speed Count and the New Optimum Basic Strategy – works with single, double, four, six and eight decks!

By Mike Caro, “The Mad Genius of Poker”. Mike has his own Mike Caro University of Poker at www.Poker1.com.

Caro’s Most Profitable Hold’Em Advice – All the best bits of advice Mike’s given out concerning Texas Hold Em – all in one book!

What do any of these books have to do with playing BJ. It might be more helpful if you had BJ books on how to play the game.

Golden Touch Blackjack Revolution is a blackjack title. You’re right that the others are not – thus the name of the article: “casino books worth reading”.

These are just some of the various books I’ve found personally useful over the years, about casinos as a whole.

Thanks for the idea re blackjack books however – I might produce a follow up article about those.
