I was lucky enough to have dinner with Lee Nelson, Australasia’s highest ranked / experienced tournament poker player on Thursday night.  The good doctor (now retired from the medical profession) was warm, friendly, and very educational, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet with him.

Dr Lee Nelson is in Auckland to promote and play in his Lee Nelson Deep Stack Poker Tournament, to be held at Skycity Casino Auckland New Zealand this weekend.  With a buy in of $1100NZD and high prize money available, it’s bound to attract some worthy poker talent.  I’m not playing in the tournament due to other personal and time commitments but I wish everyone who does compete well.
